Paku dari Salib Yesus Ditemukan?


REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JERUSALEM - Seorang jurnalis Israel-Kanada percaya bahwa ia mungkin telah berhasil melacak dua paku besi yang digunakan untuk menyalibkan Yesus Kristus. Atau setidaknya, benda itu merupakan "peninggalan lama hilang".

Bersama timnya, dia tengah menyiapkan tayangan Secrets of Christianity untuk stasiun televisi History Channel. Host dan produser Simcha Jacobovici menemukan fakta yang mengejutkannya: Pada tahun 1990, arkeolog Israel menggali sebuah gua penguburan berusia 2.000 tahun dan menemukan dua paku yang dibuat oleh orang Romawi, tetapi menyembunyikan temuan itu.

Berdasar negosiasi, akhirnya HC boleh mempublikasikan penemuan dua osuarium - kotak pemakaman batu berisi dengan tulang manusia. Dalam peti itu tertulis inskripsi "Caiaphas" dan "Joseph con of Caiaphas". Peti terakhir sekarang ditampilkan di Museum Israel di Yerusalem.

Menurut Injil, Caiaphas atau Kayafas adalah imam besar Yahudi yang menyerahkan Yesus ke Roma untuk disalibkan. "Ada konsensus ilmiah umum bahwa makam dimana paku-paku yang ditemukan kemungkinan besar milik Kayafas pada waktu itu. Sekecil apapun, tapi menemukan di dalam kubur adalah sangat langka," kata Jacobovici di luar tembok batu yang tinggi di Kota Lama, di mana Yesus menghabiskan hari terakhirnya.

Ketika Jacobovici menemukan referensi singkat soal paku dalam laporan arkeolog resmi, ia mengaku, "Rahangku serasa turun," ia mengibaratkan.

"Ini akan menjadi seolah-olah, 2.000 tahun dari sekarang, para arkeolog menemukan gua Muhammad Ali namun lupa menyebutkan sepasang sarung tangan tinju yang ditemukan di sana. Tak ada yang istimewa dari sebuah sarung tinju, tapi bila itu sarung tangan khusus yang memiliki arti penting khusus untuk petinju terkenal, akan beda artinya bukan?" katanya.

Jacobovici pernah menjadi host program Naked Archaeologist di stasiun History International dan bekerja sama dengan pembuat film James Cameron pada 2007 untuk membuat film dokumenter kontroversial, "The Lost Tomb of Jesus."

Dia sebelumnya pernah menanyakan pada Israel Antiquities Authority soal paku itu. "Saya diberitahu mereka telah hilang."

Kayafas, katanya, dikenal karena satu: pengadilan dan penyaliban Yesus. "Dia mungkin merasa terdorong untuk mengambil paku tersebut bersamanya ke kuburnya," kata Jacobovici.

Ada juga kepercayaan di antara beberapa orang Yahudi kuno bahwa paku dari salib yesus memiliki kekuatan penyembuhan dan "tiket ke alam baka".

Namun Gabriel Barkay, seorang profesor arkeologi di Bar-Ilan University, meragukan temuan itu. "Tidak ada bukti apapun bahwa mereka berasal dari makam Kayafas," katanya. "Itu dugaan semua."

Paku digunakan untuk "berbagai tujuan," kata Barkay, "dari memperbaiki gerbang besi untuk pintu kayu dan peti mati, selain untuk penyaliban."

Ronny Reich, arkeolog Universitas Haifa yang juga pernah meneliti Gua Kayafas, percaya gua itu "milik anggota keluarga Kayafas". Namun ia tak yakin dengan otentifikasi paku itu sebagai dari kayu penyalib Yesus.

Jesus of Nazareth (c. 5 BC/BCE – c. 30 AD/CE), also referred to as Jesus Christ or simply Jesus, is the central figure of Christianity. Most Christian denominations venerate him as God the Son incarnated and believe that he rose from the dead after being crucified.[6][7]

The principal sources of information regarding Jesus are the four canonical gospels,[8] and most critical scholars find them, at least the Synoptic Gospels,[9] useful for reconstructing Jesus’ life and teachings.[10][11][12][13] Some scholars believe apocryphal texts such as the Gospel of Thomas and the Gospel according to the Hebrews are also relevant.[14]

Most critical historians agree that Jesus was a Jew who was regarded as a teacher and healer, that he was baptized by John the Baptist, and was crucified in Jerusalem on the orders of the Roman Prefect of Judaea, Pontius Pilate, on the charge of sedition against the Roman Empire.[15][16][17][18][19][20][21][22][23][24][25] Critical Biblical scholars and historians have offered competing descriptions of Jesus as a self-described Messiah, as the leader of an apocalyptic movement, as an itinerant sage, as a charismatic healer, and as the founder of an independent religious movement. Most contemporary scholars of the Historical Jesus consider him to have been an independent, charismatic founder of a Jewish restoration movement, anticipating an imminent apocalypse.[26] Other prominent scholars, however, contend that Jesus' "Kingdom of God" meant radical personal and social transformation instead of a future apocalypse.[26]

Christians traditionally believe that Jesus was born of a virgin,[7]:529–32 performed miracles,[7]:358–59 founded the Church, rose from the dead, and ascended into heaven,[7]:616–20 from which he will return.[7]:1091–109 Most Christian scholars today present Jesus as the awaited Messiah promised in the Old Testament and as God,[27] arguing that he fulfilled many Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament.[28] The majority of Christians worship Jesus as the incarnation of God the Son, one of three divine persons of a Trinity. A few Christian groups, however, reject Trinitarianism, wholly or partly, believing it to be non-scriptural.[29][30]

Judaism rejects assertions that Jesus was the awaited Messiah, arguing that he did not fulfill the Messianic prophecies in the Tanakh.[31] In Islam, Jesus (Arabic: عيسى‎ or يسوع, commonly transliterated as Isa or Yasū, respectively) is considered one of God's important prophets,[32][33] a bringer of scripture, and the product of a virgin birth; but did not experience a crucifixion.[34] Islam and the Baha'i Faith use the title "Messiah" for Jesus,[35][36] but do not teach that he was God incarnate

Jesus Christ




In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through Him all things were made. John 1:1-3

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. John 1:14

God demonstrated His love by sending His promised Son, the Savior and Messiah, Jesus Christ, and allowing Him to be crucified. God paid for our sins Himself. The Lord is good, just and merciful beyond our understanding.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life“. John 3:16

Seek God now. Humbly ask Him to forgive you of your sins. Jesus Christ paid the full price for sin on a Roman cross almost 2000 years ago. Seek His free gift of forgiveness and unending love.

Jesus Christ said: “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.” Matthew 7:7,8

Most think heaven awaits them. The One who rose from the grave after 3 days said: “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.” John 14:6 God the Son came as a sinless man. Philipians 2:5-8 He gave up His human life to save ours. He said that His death was the only acceptable payment for sin. He is our ONLY way to God. He died to give our spirit eternal life. Without Him, we are spiritually dead.Ephesians 2:1-2

He declared: “I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again.” John 3:3 Are you truly “born again”? John 3:3 Does the Spirit of Christ now dwell within you? John 14:20 & Romans 8:9 Have you been adopted into God’s family forever through faith in our Redeemer and Lord, Jesus Christ? Galatians 4:5 It is critical you make certain! Earnestly ask God to change your hard heart.
God can be found through His true and complete Word, the Bible. Seek Him now, before it is too late. Seek Him through His Word to you, the Bible.
